It Was A Long Weekend.....
First things first.....last Thursday night was the membership meeting for Oakdale Quilters and people who had finished the Presidents challenge handed them in. We each put out finished project in a brown paper bag so no one would know who did what with their fabric. Below are some pictures of the 6 quilters who finished their challenges.
We voted by number and there was a tie between the beautiful baby dress and my flower power lady. So we had to vote again....... Below is the dress. Here is my finished lady......and the winner is...... Me...here is the beautiful winning ribbon on my flower power lady hanging in the quilt show.
I am a quilter. The grandaughter of a dairyman. I was married to a dairyman but am now divorced and have a daughter. I work for a dairy trade group. Love cows and the country life. I was born here in the big valley and have never lived more then 15 miles away from where I was born. I buy way too much fabric, patterns and quilting books, belong to two quilt guilds and will never have enough time to finish all the projects I want to do.
