Last Tuesday night was a busy night down at the library. Here is Barbara...sewing on her featherweight...making nine patch squares.
Sandra Hadley finished her paper pieced pineapple quilt. Love those colors....all she has to do is sew on the borders.
Joan Adams made this scrap cat quilt.....all out of her stash. Good quilt for a cat lover and uses up scraps.
In March Jill Schumache gave a workshop on using your sewing machine to machine quilt your quilts. A few of the gals from the guild went to Sacramento and took her class on how to mark a quilt top. They took a completed top and she helped them decide what design to quilt it with. Here is Dianah's Christmas mystery quilt and she's marking the top so its ready to quilt.
The large tables at the library make it easy to mark a quilt top.....you don't have to get on the floor on your hands and knees to make a quilt. Can't wait to see this quilt when its all done.
I did work on my mystery quilt on Tuesday night.....did a little sewing and finished step 2....now I'm cutting and cutting for step three. Lots of sewing to do on step three. I'm glad Memorial Day weekend is coming up....with the price of gas.....I think I'll stay home and sew. Try and get caught up and ready for June's step in the mystery quilt.
