Oakdale Quilt Guild Presidents Challenge 2008
Sheryl de Leon won the Presidents Challenge last night with this beautiful vest. The fabric we were given was the fabric used for the mermaid's hair. Good job Sheryl!Below is my entry......I came in second. The fabric looked like trees to me. Here is a closer view of Sheryl's vest. She painted the face and skin......wow. I need to learn how to do this kind of painting. Its Friday again.....will be working on my mystery quilt....catching up. Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers who read my blog.
I am a quilter. The grandaughter of a dairyman. I was married to a dairyman but am now divorced and have a daughter. I work for a dairy trade group. Love cows and the country life. I was born here in the big valley and have never lived more then 15 miles away from where I was born. I buy way too much fabric, patterns and quilting books, belong to two quilt guilds and will never have enough time to finish all the projects I want to do.
